My name’s Joanna, and I started The Other Side of Fear five years ago. After finally embracing — and actually loving — my own sober journey, I went on to train as both a Recovery Coach and a Life Coach. I did it because I wanted to help people like me break free from the habits that once ran their lives… and step into something so much bigger.
Whether you want to dive into the podcast, join me for 1:1 or group coaching, or just hang out with me on Instagram; I’m right here.
I send semi-regular emails. Nothing fancy, usually a mix of journal entries, honest thoughts, and whatever’s tumbling through my head that day. They’re not polished… but they’re real. And if you’re navigating tricky habits or feeling ashamed of where you are, I hope something from my own lived experience gives you a moment of comfort, clarity, or at least a feeling that you’re not doing this alone.
Sharing some of the nice things that the lovely people I have worked with over the years have said...
"The group was brilliant, you, the guests. I would totally recommend and already recommended to some of my friends. Talking about very delicate subjects in front of the big group was a bit challenging but with the time it got easier!"
'I think all of it together makes the great support network as well as learning. Love reading your emails every morning, all the meetings & workshops and chat! Omg that chat where we all support each other so much and makes you never feel alone in this journey - and this is a lot to say'
"I’m still working on it but I’m also getting really happy with my alcohol and drugs habit. ! Im so happy to be able to choose when im going wild or not (and the answer is mostly no)."
See what magic can happen....
Every January, a bunch of house-music lovers from all corners of the internet come together for 60 days of sober support.
Total strangers at first… but the kind who get it.
The mission?
To reset your pleasure baseline so your brain actually lights up for life again. To clear the fog, tap into your real priorities, and finally understand the habits that have been quietly running the show.
Sixty days gives you the perfect runway to break the cycle, get your power back, and step into the next version of you with fire.
